Great Services except the Canteen on the 3rd Fl. Eat before you arrive if you can,rudest service,food is horrible and over priced, terrible eating experience.

A fantastic team in the Emergency room! I am from out of state, Florida, and was visiting family when I needed to go to the emergency room. From the minute I walked in, somewhere between 5 and 6 a.m. Sunday, I was treated fantastically. It started when I first arrived and was greeted by the triage nurse who asked me how I was feeling and if there was anything she could do to help, I explained my situation and how I was feeling. A nurse came out and greeted me within 10 seconds and pointed to several beds that were available for my choice, then took all my Medical stats required. The doctor showed up within 2 minutes of the nurse finishing up! I was diagnosed and treated immediately. The Nurse and Doctor both came by several times, less than 10/15 minutes per checking on my status. Their work individually and as a team Exceeded my Expectations! They are a credit to the Veterans Administration. Hearing many negative stories about our VA, I am glad to report that this VA hospital is OUTSTANDING.

I am a lucky one the service from my ppg dr A.Vis.was very good she retired.My new ppg dr D.is very good so far. Urology dpt needs improvment.

I wouldn't even give it 1 star. This is what our past, present, and future veterans have to deal with?? Not only are doctors and staff rude good luck trying to get any of them on the phone. When you do finally reach a human on the other line they are quick to transfer you to another line that constantly rings and never gets answered. They started saying that there phones are having isssues with the carriers. This was months ago!!!!! Biggest veterans hospital on the east coast yet you still haven't fixed your phone issues? I'm disgusted. "The people who slip through the cracks". East Orange Va is a sinkhole

Such a horrible hospital and people working in it as well! Don't get me wrong some doctors are lovely and been taking care of my dad for years, but everything else lacks professionalism! Every worker is rude! They give you parking tickets when they don't have enough spots with the volume of people! You make a appointment for 10am, you aren't seen until 1pm and by the time you get your medication, it's a all day thing and you aren't out by 3pm! This is ridiculous and this is horrible how they treat their vets. They have workers that are rude and need to go back to school and get a education and learn how to speak to people. No one cares here and they have a, "Oh well" attitude when you speak up.! Boy I could go on and on about this place! I'll just leave it at this for now. Get it together VA, get it together!
