US Post Office

if you've "missed" a delivery prepare to wait an hour or more on line and this crazy woman that makes a horrible attempt at speaking Spanish comes out yelling about the line every hour or so. I once asked what is hour when the post office is least busy because literally EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there I'm late to something. After I asked the lady just laughed at me and ignored me. The workers there seem like a bunch of characters from the boondocks in that they are just flat out rude and ghetto. I wish this place caught on fire so they can make a new one with more improvements.

The very textbook case of why all USPS post offices should be closed and franchised out to retail stores for basic mailing and package pickup. Incompetent, understaffed, never open, and a guaranteed waste of your time. One could probably bring a class action lawsuit for discrimination against the USPS for why urban post offices are often like Inwood and not the friendly, convenient post offices they operate in the suburbs.

Very long line, manager has no patient, separate lines for Money order and shipping. So, if you are buying a M.O, first make the Long line for that and the another line to use the retail shipping window. the line to pick up packages can be a long as 45 minutes waiting. It is an ordeal to go to pick up certified packages. There is a lot of room for improvement for this postal office.

Can this post office hire more employees? I've had to wait in line for package pickup for over an hour. It's ridiculous! If you can help it, DO NOT GO TO THIS POST OFFICE. Service is terrible, employees have bad attitudes, and you will waste a large chunk of your day standing in the extremely slow moving line. I've never had a good experience here, for the two years I've lived in Inwood.

I have lived all over Nyc and this is by fat the WORST p.o. ever. Things sit there for days after being dropped there..... disappear and reappear..... and my personal favorite.
Waiting home all day for something to be delivered only to go down and I find a slip that says "I wasn't Home" they are so lazy! They only want to deliver small stuff, then leave it infront of your door without a knock.
But even with all that, walking into that place is even worse. After everything they put you through, you then have to wait on lines 25 people deep with one window open, only to be greeted by the worst attitudes.
I can't express the new levels of disgust this place evokes in people. I wish I could minus stars. Avoid by all means if at all possible.
