Very friendly staff. Professional and courteous towards the customers. A far cry from the Far Rockaway Mott Ave location. Did my passport there by appointment. I was in and out in 15 mins.

I live in Far Rockaway, but I can't bring myself to go to my local post office because of it's maximum security prison-like feel. At Lawrence, you're treated like a person, not an inmate, and don't have to deal with the whole plexiglass thing. Not only that, but the clerks are very helpful and seem genuinely happy to see you! I wish they were open a little later (I work in Brooklyn and get off at 4 so it's a mad-dash to get there before closing time at 5), but you can't beat the service. Even when there's a line, you're in and out in 10 minutes. Truly exceptional.
