I got two crates of grapes there, and although they were chilled, the fruit was overly ripe and started to show mold. I was rather expecting to get it in a better condition, since I was buying the grapes during the traditional harvest months.
As for the staff, that's a whole another story. Some are nice, some are less so. But one thing they all have in common is that neither of them is knowledgeable enough about wine making or equipment in general to give an amateur/enthusiast wine maker, like myself, some direction and help me find products they might or might not have in stock. I caught them by surprise when I asked whether they had any malolactic culture or tartaric acid. The woman at the register (owner?) had no idea of the former's existence, and could not even enunciate the latter. While I may not expect the people running such retail business to be wine makers themselves, I would, at least, appreciate if they knew the common terms like these. To cut the long story short, this experience made me leave with a deep sigh of disappointment and a "meh" feeling. I guess, this place would have to do sometimes, as there is no other of this type in the vicinity of Brooklyn.

This place is horrible. The staff is rude. In addition, I purchased 3 six gallon buckets of white wine juice. They said they were kept in a cooler and "fresh." When I arrived home I saw they are 3 months old. They all had already started fermentation and were about half way complete. The only exception was one that had already gone through fermentation and the juice was brown like diareah. I called them 2 business days later and explained the situation and requested a refund just for the brown one. They blamed me, told me it was my fault. Than said that is how the juice comes and called it golden. They refused to issue a refund and expected me to lug an open 6 gallon juice bucket all the way back there in my car so they could see it and spend 30 bucks in gas and tolls to get there. I sent them pictures of the "diareah" juice but they continued to claim it's normal. Maybe it is for these people, they seem like the types that would go to a restaurant and instead of ordering a bottle of "red" or "white" would order a bottle of "$#it brown" wine. Anyways, you are better off making the drive anywhere else, I know I will never go back.
