A great dentist, period. Not just professional but careful, even meticulous, taking all the time any procedure requires to achieve not just functionality but excellence. Willing to engage in dialogue and explain options to reach the best solution for the issue in hand, and my teeth have had plenty of issues to discuss, all of them dating back to long before I found Dr. Chan and some of them due to previous dentists, none of them bad, but none of them as good as Dr. Chan. Completely up to date in methods of treatment. Refers to other dentists for some procedures if the result would be better for the patient. I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone.

My teeth have been through braces in 2 countries plus various cities; and an oral surgery that plucked 4 wisdom teeth in one sitting. I also have an uncle in Korea who is a dentist; so I have had my share of "bedside manners" as I am in my 30s. And even my uncle did not leave me with a good impression. Sorry uncle, but you are barely above the bottom of the barrel.

To make a long story short-er, I avoided going to the dentist for well over 10 years. Stupid? Yes. I highly discourage this as the consequence of my action is now a root canal treatment.

But Dr. Chan changed my perception of dentists. She was the first ever to take the time to explain and communicate to me what needed to be done. I am sure there are other dentists who do not treat their patients as if they do not know any better; but if you ask me, I really appreciate a doctor who calls to check up on me. Now, that is RARE.

Dr. Chan is the best dentist I ever had. She is very thorough. She really cares about her patients. I highly recommend her to anyone. Jason Wu
