Happy bride checking in! I wanted a dress with old school fifties flair, and I found a great little number in a shop. They shipped it over to The Wedding Dresser and I was able to try it on there and have the pros tell me what needed to be done to make it “mine”. Easy as pie, and dare I say at the end of it all, I looked darn good? So good that I recycled the dress and had it dyed so I can wear it for other special occasions.

Amazing customer service. Susan is responsive and genuine and her garments are the real deal - handmade, beautiful pieces that every bride deserves. Haute couture without the price tag.

Susan was fantastic. Not only did she do an excellent job with my dress (which fit perfectly!), but she was also incredibly friendly and flexible with scheduling my fittings. I bought my dress from a large NYC bridal store and was told that it would be impossible to get alterations appointments on the weekend unless I was willing to wait MONTHS to do so. With my work schedule, it was impossible to come in during the week during regular hours, and with my wedding only 2 months away, this was clearly a problem. Unlike the big store, Susan was so much more flexible with her later hours during the week. I was able to schedule my appointments on short notice with no problem. On top of that, she was always warm and welcoming. I never felt rushed or like "just another customer." She really made me feel at home throughout the whole process. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who needs alterations!

My experience with The Wedding Dresser was terrific. My bridesmaid dress was two sizes too big. With very short notice, my dress was altered and ready on time. Susan asked all the very important questions. I left my dress knowing that it would not only be ready, but the alteration would be expertly made. I was not disappointed. I was able to move and looked slimmer. What more can a bridesmaid ask for? I'm getting married in June of 2013, and both my wedding dress, and bridesmaid dresses will be altered by The Wedding Dresser. Go to The Wedding Center. Thank you again, Susan.

We were a small bridal party, but with big needs. Susan and her team took great care of all of our wishes and then some. I (the bride) bought my plus sized gown that I loved in a neighboring Brooklyn store where they offered a flat (reasonable fee) for alterations. However, when I told their seamstress that I wanted to cut of my train to make it more like a flowing ball gown, they acted as though they could "maybe do it".
I immediately went on the hunt for a seamstress in my area, by searching the knot and wedding channel. It was Susan's reputation and testimonies that sold me on her as the right person to call for a consultation and then after meeting her, I was so glad that I didn't compromise and went with a true professional!
We had my bridal gown, the maid of honor, one brides maid and the mother-of-the-bride all altered to fit us perfectly! Scheduling fittings was easy and Susan worked around the wedding schedule very well.
I highly recommend The Wedding Dresser to all brides because you don't want to add more stress because we've all heard some terrible dress stories!
You are in great hands with Susan!
