Although the idea of the pass seemed like a good idea we ended up waiting for 45 minutes to actually get the passes. This was due to the fact that they were out of three day passes and someone had to bring more over from another location. We also had a very unpleasant conversation with a rude manager who was unhelpful and refused to refund us. Overall the experance of getting the passes wasn't worth it.

Great value! This pass is not only a good value but it helps direct you to activities that are popular, helps you locate which part of the City they are in so you can group activities together by location, plan an itinerary based on the times that the tours/activities are available and to skip lines with the Fast Track feature. We visited Manhattan Fourth of July week 2014 and are planning our next visit in January 2016. Many of the attractions we want to see are closed this time of year and I would not have been able to easily find all of that info in one place were it not for the New York Pass. It is an excellent value, time saving, easy feature to use. I would couple this with the "Embark" subway app to get around and you'll feel like a real New Yorker in no time.

We recently visited New York and had bought a 7 day New York Pass prior to our trip. We paid extra to have it delivered and this was a good idea as we could plan our sightseeing before arriving. As seniors we saved AUD $130 but others would save more. We tended to visit places we would not have normally done because we had the pass and often had a pleasant surprise (eg Madison Square Gardens). However we attached a Grayline HOHO ticket to the pass and this proved to be a mistake. The buses had no air-conditioning, PA system was old and often did not work and some of the commentators were mediocre. There are better alternatives and they are easy to buy on the street when you arrive.

I've just used this (Sep 2015) for 3 days. Those were very exhausting days, but I was able to use as much as $355.50 in attractions and discounts! It works perfectly - no bugs, no headaches... Even considering I've purchased one day previously to getting in town. Amazing!

Thought the idea of the pass would be a great thing to have . It was . Saved a lot of money seeing New York this way. Did not get any fast track entrances and the wait for security checks was long .You do have to queue show your pass and get a ticket. And again when you go back as a time slot is sometimes given.
Would not recommend the hop on/off bus pass. The traffic in New York is so bad that we found the underground a better and quicker option. Sat on the bus a whole hour and did 1 mile. There is so much to see,you need the time for the attractions, not the traffic delays. If you're thinking of a less busy slot it is rush hour all day every day. Truly a city that never sleeps. Take plenty of energy a New York Pass and enjoy.
