It is horrible It sucks. I was a cadre their. I am a Professional Painter. Once they found this out forget about it. $100.00 per month that was like pulling teeth. Man so Glad that is so over back to the real world. No Furloughs for Cadre Inmates No Real Half Way House. Its the Worst. If you ever have to do Federal Time hopefully they will send you elsewhere. MDC the worst.. Someone said the food it Great yeah right..

My transformation began inside of a Metropolitan Detention Center in 1987. During the next 26 years, the Bureau of Prisons confined me in prisons of every security level. I published a number of books that describe how I earned university degrees and became a published author who wrote about the federal prison system and the people it holds. Those efforts convince me that anyone who begins a journey in the Metropolitan Detention Center of Brooklyn can make a choice. That choice can either lead to depression and anger, or it can lead to a life of meaning and relevance. I even launched my websites from federal prison, and they show an abundance of information about the federal prison system. If you are going to the MDC in Brooklyn, it's crucial that you master strategies that will restore your confidence and sense of deliberateness. Tune out the negative influences and focus on the possibility and promise of the future that you're capable of creating. Make it happen.
