Dr. Paula L. Lewis, MD

Awful. Something happened to this woman in the past 2-3 years and she hates the whole Universe now. When I first started seeing her nearly 20 years ago we had a comfortable working relationship but recently, she has spoken to me and treated me as if I am an idiotic 9-year-old who has no clue what is happening in my life and my body and I think that, by 71, my age, and with several graduate degrees, published books and professional articles as well as a great deal of media recognition for my 35 years as an executive in financial services, I'm fairly mature and sane about how I choose to live my life. Being a "snow bird" now -- Florida for 6-8 months of the year---means I spend more time with different doctors down there than in New York. However, when it came to making several medical decisions regarding treatments for several issues that arise with the aging process, Dr. Lewis has been extremely hostile, uncooperative and downright rude to the specialists in Florida who tried to get records and speak to her to discuss my medical matters. I find her behavior and attitude to be totally unacceptable to any patient who has to make medical decisions that do not always include her, particularly when she is not present during a crisis.
