The Grand Paradise

This show was so much fun, the stage sets are amazing. Personally prefer "then she fell" though, because there was a more solid plot and the world was more fantastic and mysterious. But this one was also awesome and it is definitely a must see!

I saw The Grand Paradise a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The cast was fully committed to their characters and giving each audience member a unique experience. I really enjoyed that, instead of just being an observer, I got to interact with the cast during many of the scenes (answer questions, make choices that affected the scene, hold objects, make physical contact, etc.). It made me feel like I was really part of the show. The plot was pretty abstract. If there was a moral or a message, I’m sure I missed it, but that didn’t bother me. I went in with an open mind and enjoyed each different scene as it’s own distinct theatrical experience. The dancing was highly athletic with lots of daring partnering and great use of the set pieces. I would have liked to see more dancing though. Overall, I’d recommend seeing this show. It was exciting and highly memorable!
