I had an excellent experience with Furniture Doctor.
Several years ago, I had an antique chair leg repaired. I could barely tell where the break in the leg had been after the repair. I was impressed by the workmanship.
Recently, I had an unusual situation . My elderly mother had difficulty in getting in & out of her car, which was a rather low sedan.
Furniture Doctor custom made a seat which sat upon the existing seat, elevating it so she could get in & out. It sounds as if this would be a simple project, but it was not.. The stability, foam density, and contouring were factors, ,as was the correct height of the cushion to enable proper entry and egress. At one point Furniture Doctor completely started the project over to get it prefect. They even got the color to match perfectly. Other professionals had told me this could not be done and advised me to sell the car - as one of them had done themselves with a similar situation for his own mother !!!.
