overall really good experience- easy to get into, no cover, etc. jason was super nice when i contacted him about hosting my birthday party there and secured an area for me with no bottle minimum! only downside, i didnt think the music was loud enough for it to really be a dancing kinda place, but it was also so loud it was difficult to hear. planning to give it another try

Incredible! This was one of the coolest stops we made while in new york. Excellent music, great cocktails, and gorgeous crowd. What else could you ask for?

A straight up bar that's fit for birthday parties and having a good time for group gatherings. The long bar stretches for most of the length of the establishment, but leaves enough room for dancing in the back. Drinks and reasonably priced and sufficiently strong, and the bartenders are fast and friendly servers.

My experience at The Anchor was incredible- its super easy to make a reservation, and planning my party with them was simple and headache-free. All of my guests had no trouble getting in, they reserved an area for us, and the music was amazing! I know the Anchor is known for booking great DJs, but we were blown away with the overall quality, and most of us stayed and danced until closing time. Drinks were strong, and fairly priced, and there is a wide selection of cocktails and spirits, and about 10 beers to choose from. The bartenders were fast and friendly and we look forward to coming back here again and again. For an unpretentious, genuinely fun experience, I couldn't recommend the Anchor more. Forget meatpacking district and lower east side- get to the Anchor now!
