Teak On The Hudson

Hated every second of my visit(s). Have been here several times before in the past year hoping that my experience would change (giving them the benefit of the doubt that they may just have had an off night.). My experiences here became worse each time I stepped through those doors. Tried to get VIP for a friend's birthday (about 20 guests), and the promoters and servers completely a.) ignored us, b.) overcharged us the earlier agreed upon amount, and c.) were extremely rude. We ended up leaving after an hour and a half after not being served as our personal promoter and waitress were "too busy" and would not accommodate our agreed upon price from earlier that week. Do NOT recommend.

Worst place EVER. My dinner was completely skipped over because our server forgot to put my order in. Everyone's finishing up and she shows up with the bill and not my plate. No apologies, no manager coming over saying so sorry and here's a certificate or something towards your next meal ... Or at least take my appetizer off the bill. NOTHING. Place is run by friggen amateurs. Never again.

So, how do I begin. Lets just say we never made it inside the venue, BECAUSE I was called 30 minutes before my reservation as I was approaching the Holland Tunnel (thank god for that, RIGHT?! NO!) AND told that my BIRTHDAY PARTY could no longer be accommodated. Due to Santacon being in Hoboken that day, almost two weeks after NYC Santacon. I tried to call over and over and over and NO ONE ANSWERED MY CALLS. I am beyond disappointed coming all the way from QUEENS. After hearing so many wonderful things about the place, we were forced to try and find a last minute bday brunch that would accomodate 10 of us. ALL THIS HAPPENING WHILE THE BIRTHDAY GIRL WAS IN THE CAR, AWAITING HER SURPRISE THAT NEVER HAPPENED!! (Angry brows) I wouldn't recommend this place on account of the complete lack of decency for their guests. The lack of customer service and just general common sense, to not make the appropriate changes accordingly. I am extremely disappointed and would never come here! EVER!

PLace sucked...service was horrible vip is very tight bottles provided were Skyy vodka and music sucked same jersey shore kind of music all night. I would not recommend nor visit this place again.

Awesome atmosphere and ornate furnishings starting at the front door. Servers are always great and sushi is delicious, especially the specialty rolls. Mondays and Thursdays are half off food, which is a great deal, and Happy Hour in the bar area is half off drinks on weekdays. Finish off with the chocolate-filled giant fortune cookie for dessert.
