If you're fan of authentic Soviet service this is the place. Food is okay, though seems overpriced for the taste.

I found the food very tasty, but then again, I've never had Russian food so I don't know what quality to expect.

The four course lunch special isn't so bad (19.99) but it sucks that there's a credit card min of $25. I ordered the Herring appetizer and I thoroughly enjoyed it because it reminded me of Japanese sashimi.

Yeah, the service is slow and not set on ....

*update: changing from four to two stars*

Scratch that, service is incredibly slow and rude. I tried to get the attention of one of the old Russian ladies and she shook her head in a very discourteous manner at me.

Thank you for reminding why we left Soviet Union. Unappologetic, rude stuff, mediocre food with unjustifyable price/quality. I will give stars solely for location.

I haven't been here in 15 years and yet I still remember the succulent meal I had here it was simply porkchops and yet they were the best I have ever had and the thickest I have ever had. I dream about it from time to time, all those years ago. Next time I am in New York State or a nearby state, I am making a trip to this great eatery.
