Do not know why people are complaining . By reading the reviews i was kind of reluctant to go, but let me friends drag me anyway.
First - the guys at the door were cool . my girl had a passport so we could not scan it through that machine, so the head bouncer talked to us the whole time while he was writing the info up, real cordial, never condescending , i thought well this might not be the guy from the reviews, he told me he had been doing the door since feb, i guess he is and then my girl was freezing and he let her wear his 50 lbs coat !! ( how these guys wear these things) the whole time he took care of us 3 girls Then he let us in.
Second - when we got to the list girl our names where not on it, so we went in the were charging 20$ which we did not want to pay, so we turned back and were leaving when that guy ( cannot remember his name ) called us over and asked why we were leaving we explained our situation and he got us all comped.
Once inside it was nice nothing crazy which i like, but i did hear that when they have big Djs one can barely move.the upstairs was close so i did not see it,.
I don't get it when they say they are racist i saw bunch of black people a couple of asians, lesbians . It is an uptown club and if you willing to trek uptown try it out. Not downtown but i don't think the people mind. And if you have an issue at the door just ask for the guy at the front the head bouncer give him a smile and he will look out..I will give it another try maybe a big Dj night????

The bouncer at the door is a A**HOLE with ugly person syndrome yeah and the red and purple scarfs are tacky just in case someone reading this give them the memo. thanks :). Me and my friend was there for a birthday party we were asked to buy 2 bottles in order to get in. OK we are 2 females y in the world would we buy to bottle ($600) for 2 females that rarely drink at clubs. HUM... since our friends came and got us outside we were let in.. paid $20 to listen to hip hop, smell weed and be in a lil corner cause the place is over capacity. Valet parking is $30 dollars as well. oh and "DJ DENNIS THE MENACE. ugh we dont want to hear your ipod playlist. NEVER AGAIN!

I went to Talay Lounge for my birthday 2 weeks ago, and i had the best time of my life! the girls were hott! the crowd was crazyy but thats what i love a crowd thats into the music and loves to have a great time! def recommend this place to anyone looking for hott girls and to havea great time!

Ive been to Talay a few times, like most clubs its crowded and if you dont get there early you can expect to wait online.. sometimes for awhile, its worth the weight though. The re vamped downstairs club is amazing, the music and the atmosphere is incredible. HOT 97's DJ Camillo performs here on a regular basis also regular celebrity citings, last time I had a drink with Busta Rhymes (he had like 20 bottles). Drinks are expensive so make sure you pregame but I highly recommend it. Regardless of other ppls reviews. The bouncers are no joke but I wouldnt say they are rude, they are doing their job! I had a dinner party for 20 people. We waited 90 minutes for appetizers. When we received our meals the meat was served and sides 30 minutes later. As compensation I was insulted with a mere $60 discount. I was promised many things that were disregarded and not delivered by the "event planner". I had to go search for her several times!! The planner made an arrangement with the promoters for my guest to receive a discounted rate to enter the lounge after the dinner party. The arrangement was not honored when my guest tried to enter the lounge and they were told they didn't care what she promised me. In addition, the promoters addressed my guest in a very belittling, disrespectful manner! I am totally disgusted and embarrassed! Thank You Talay for ruining my birthday!
