The food was good but not the best - only reason why they even got a 2 star- not a lot of flavor- there could have been more spices. The portion size was way too small and to top it off they charged us a 20% gratuity claiming that's their policy when serving a group of more than 6 people (there were 7 of us and they did not inform us prior to us ordering) - it was a surprise on the bill . Not sure what was going on as we clearly notice the portions of food on other guests plates and they seemed a lot more compared to ours. Won't we going back. !

Went to Sweet Basil for the first time last night and the food was amazing. I don't understand some of the negative reviews but what both my date and I had was amazing. My teriyaki salmon may have been slightly over cooked but it still had lots of flavor. My date had the curry duck with coconut rice and it was amazing. They do not serve alcoholic beverages but my cranberry juice was just fine. I would definitely go back. I also had the Thai wings because I couldn't resist and that sweet Thai chili sauce was and continue to be amazing.

I have been to Sweet Basil about 6 times over the past 3 years (eat-in, did take out once).
I have ordered the masaman curry, pineapple curry, pad thai noodles and the pad see yu and have liked each dish.
The wait staff is courteous. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is affordable and delicious.
I cannot speak to their delivery service. I called in to place an order once and it went well. It does seem like a missed opportunity for them to not be on seamless when so many people in the surrounding area use it.
