Super Stop & Shop

Decent selection lines usually aren't too long.

It's ok I can find people to ask questions and my foods is fresh. First-time in the store. But the bathroom was NASTY and it smelled SO only if you need to go

I went today to get a cake for my son's birthday party at school. I'm not a picky person, after all its for a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds. They are going to eat it regardless. The lady that was helping, or rather not helping, did not greet us at all. In fact she walked over as if we were bothering her. When I asked if she by chance had any cakes in back that had boy colors for frosting, she told me we should go to Pathmark or BJ's because they don't have any. At that point, I consider leaving but I have never been to Stop & Shop before and I've heard good things about the cakes so I decide to make it work.

Being that I was short on time, I told her I would take the graduation cake that was blue and green flowers but asked if she could take the graduation deco off. She shook her head to reply yes. I then asked if she could write on the cake and wrote down "Happy birthday Amari". She asked if it mattered what color frosting. I said no, just whatever looks good with the cake. She walks away.

She comes back a few minutes later with PINK frosting. Mind you, I realize I said it doesn't matter but since when does pink go with blue and green? Then she proceeded to remind me of what I said and then took the cake back to tell the other lady in the back there was a problem with the pink letters. The second lady sucked her teeth, rolled her eyes at me and mumbled under her breath. The second lady then proceeded to write over top of the pink frosting with blue frosting.

I walked out.

Thanks Stop & Shop for hiring sub-par employees who will ruin the experience and have me never patron your store again.

They ALWAYS seem badly under-staffed. Their self-service registers are not available most times, except for one or two. Today they only had one self-service register working, and, of course, "...it only accepts credit or debit cards. No cash." This, while there are 3 other self-service registers shut down. To top this off, they only had 3 cash registers open, which is the norm, which means there is always a line, and a wait at this Stop & Shop. I try really hard to avoid this supermarket. The worst Stop & Shop I have experienced.

I have great experiences at Stop & Shop via it serves a few rare food types that major supermarkets don't like Caribbean type of food items. I also like this location via a Redbox machine is located inside. I have seen many movies that were in the movies 3 months prior on DVD via this Redbox. So after grocery shopping I am leaving to go home with a DVD and smiles.

I the lines are very long at this location. Don't you ever think you are going anywhere fast here. Really trust me. I hope they fix this, faster lines.
