Best pastries I've ever eaten, the coffee is nothing to write home about. The only bad thing is they occasionally overcook things and of course they do run out. They'll gladly tell you when a new batch will be ready though.

After trying Sugar Mamas I was left wanting. So I yelped bakeries while I was visiting museum of the weird and saw Delish. I got a Mexican vanilla, double chocolate, strawberry and vanilla with chocolate frosting. The Mexican vanilla was worth the price of admission. Holy cow was it good. Strawberry was flavorful and the double chocolate was nice and . Great experience!

Some of the best bread you can get in the city, servicing many restaurants around town with their gluten-y goodness.
This is not a full luncheonette, but they will pre-made sandwiches at lunch time and always have some flatbreads on tap. With an ever-expanding pastry list, you can grab some goodies on your way out of town. Around the holiday season, their pies and panettone are sublime.
Their coffee is strong. They will slice your bread if you ask, and they will sell half-loaves of almost everything.
Top of their craft.

Having prepared no knead bread for years, this bakery was a must on my eats list. We stopped in for our daily breakfast pastry. The croissant with vanilla glaze was top notch. The vanilla cream doughnut really was the star of the show. The breads all looked interesting but very darkly baked. Perhaps New Yorkers like their bread dark.

I was able to try goat cheese and rhubarb cookie, a blackberry mango filled desert and a raspberry bomboloni. They were unique in flavor and decent, but it was pricey for the size.
