Stop & Stor

Okay, Although I wasted my money and time to get here, I couldn't get any space for my stuff. My ID was issued by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) but an employ over there didn't consider it as an ID. Okay fine. So I asked him if the passport works. Then he asked me to provide a utility bill of mine and my current address. Well, Why don't you just tell me that the company never welcomes non-US citizens as their customer? That would make more sense. And then my boyfriend asked him if he can have a storage space for me since it is ours. Then he said no. Because It belongs to me not him. I don't know if it matters but if the policy says it so, what can I do? So I called customer center again and asked several questions then asked the representative "May I call you back?" then the rude and mean representative said "I don't care, whatever. it is all up to you." and giggled. VERY OFFENSIVE. The company definitely need to educate their employees to behave polite unless the company was found to offend and discriminate non-US citizens.

Probably facility is great, heated and modern lockers, and you should be happy if you get a place there to store. The proces of renting however is compared to filling for morgage. Individuals working there are not to blame, but the company policy is super exaggerated in my opinion. If you're foreigner - forget about this place and any other of their locations. We were turned down because the document we presented was not sufficient enough for personality check plus on top of that we didn't bring any copy of any bill (utility or phone, etc) to prove our address. And I'm asking myself firstly: were was that mentioned on the Web that only an us drivers licence is accepted as a personality proof and not green card - that's
what we had. Second, am I renting a locker or applying for a credit line? Proof of address? An hour later e stored our stuff in a locker of a company that has no issues with green cards and didn't require extended documemtation. By all means rent a locker over there but be prepared, and call in advance because reservations made over the Web in most cases don't fit with what's available at the facility.

I went to the website and thought the prices were reasonable so I went ahead and made a reservation to "lock" in the online price. I then received a call the day before my move and was told they had no more spaces that were up to my specifications, even though I reserved my space, all I was told that they could do is offer me a larger space which was triple the price. No bueno. I feel like they are running an online scam to jack up the prices. Be very weary of this place leave your valuables and un-replaceables at your own risk!
