Stone Nail

Was told to wait five mins for owner. Owner came out (after ten mins) and abruptly told me someone else was coming after knowing I was there on my lunch break. Poor customer service.

First off I would like to point out, I never write negative reviews as in NEVER. That being said, I went to get a pedicure last Wednesday and a gel manicure ($30) last Thursday. Not even a week later one of my toes polish chips off and the next day one of my GEL nail polish comes completely off without me noticing. So today I went back, and politely asked if they can re do them. Not even one apology! Sure that's fine they are busy. The owner who actually did my gel manicure (also wasn't too crazy with the job she did but didn't say anything) completely disregarded me especially after I told them that she did them for me. Anyways after patiently waiting and got skipped, I was helped by a really nice worker, Lubelle (not sure if that's the correct spelling). Anyways she was super nice taking her time trying to match my toe color because I couldn't remember which one it is. While she was finishing up my gel, they were all speaking Spanish among themselves (luckily for me I understand Spanish) and heard the owner say charge her 5 bucks. EXCUSE ME??? I just spent 30 dollars plus tip on gel manicure to last me 6 days??? Better off just paid 10 bucks for a manicure. Not to cause a scene I told Lubelle, can you please tell her in Spanish that I think that's absurd especially it was her mess up. Anyways Lubelle was scared/ nervous to confront her boss and told me to tell her myself. So I did, and the owner told me she out quick dry on you, so I responded I didn't ask her to. The owner responded SO YOU BETTER TIP HER!!!! (which was totally my intention). Anyways no apologies, a charge attempt..umm definitely not gong back! Unfortunately I really liked Lubelle and she did a great job on the one gel finger! The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star is for Lubelle's sake.

I work in the Financial District and needed a quick manicure, I'm really glad I found Stone Nail! I went around 3:30 on a Friday, was seated right away (it was a lot more packed than I expected for an afternoon!) and my nail technician was really friendly and great! My manicure looks neat and it only cost $10!

Excellent service! I do not make an appointment and got acrylics nails done.
Friendly environment. I felt so good in there. Definitively returning...
