Dr Fallek was on call when my young daughter needed sutures in her face this summer. In the ER he was fairly pleasant, superficial but was able to put her at ease. However, when we went to his office for the suture removal his bedside manner was atrocious. Because she was afraid of the scissors near her eye for the suture removal it was initially difficult to get her to sit still. He snapped at her several times and then said "I didn't want to have to do this" and essentially kneeled on her chest to hold her head still. She cried for hours afterwards and he left a suture in as well. The scar is still quite noticeable and the area where the suture is has a prominent knot of scar tissue. When I called to question the suture being left in I received all kinds of excuses and was told that 'many people call to thank him'. That's wonderful for the people who are happy with their breast augmentations or chemical peels, but my daughter's scar is still really rough looking and she still has nightmares about the incident.
