State Street Grill

Valentine's Day 2016: The day I almost lost my beloved...behind this place! It's 9 degrees outside with a wind chill making it more like 3 degrees; and they seat us next to a window...the glass is cold making the area cold. When we asked for a different seat, the manager complies and seats us next to...another window! When we express discontent with that, they seat us at a table near a large rear opening that you can feel the cold air billowing in. At this point we are utterly disgusted...as we wait for our food I become more and more aggravated. Finally, when it comes the "Grilled Chicken Quesidilla" my beloved ordered looked like someone took tortilla chips and a can of potted meat and threw it on a plate. Really? This is NOT fine dining at all. At least the server (Leighton ) was nice, but the manager needs to try unemployment or another line of work. I will NOT return there, I'll be telling 30 of my friends to avoid this place like a tax increase, and they in turn will tell 30 of their friends, and so on. I'm pasting this on Facebook as well, and maybe after the bad press they'll either get it together or go out of business...which the latter I have no problem with!

Love this place. I've bren going there for years! I even went when it was willies! Though not the same of course. They have a huge menu and their pizza is really good. I have never had a bad experience at State Street. The food is always prepared right, always fresh and it comes out fast even when they're busy you don't wait long. The service is outstanding and the wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. If you've never been there, you must try it. You'll be going back te and time again!

Excellent menu. Lively and full staff. Been eating here 1-2 times a week without getting tired. Close to train station (I'm a commuter)

Good food. Large portions. Desserts are a must have. 1st class service by staff

Went for the first time today with my boyfriend, and it was amazing! Not expensive, the portions are great, our server Steve was so outgoing and def made our first experience one to make us want to go back often. Highly recommended.
