Lunch Box

After a year and change of trying to use this business I give up and feel like I need to share my experience. I moved to Bloomfield looking for a bagel place that I could order ahead daily and grab it on my way to work. The Lunchbox is the closest bagel place to my home. The food is great - no issues there. However I have had several other issues. They have very inconsistent hours for a business, especially considering that they are a bagel and coffee place as well. They often close when the high school is closed - which makes zero sense because there are plenty of other people who eat there. They never even leave a note on the door or anywhere when they close to give loyal customers a heads up. Sometimes they are also randomly closed on a Saturday. I understand that it is a family business, but it's not an excuse to open and close at your leisure. In additon, I prefer to call my order in ahead of time (as I mentioned earlier) because sometimes the wait for a bacon, egg and cheese is excessive and I like to be able to plan my mornings effectively. However, not only do they have surprise closings, they will also not answer often when they are there. Because of this, I asked the owner several months ago if he preferred I didn't call in orders. He said it was no problem, yet when im heading to work, 5 out of 10 times I get no answer or a pick up and hang up. It also seems like after they pick up and hang up, they will then leave the phone off of the hook. Twice I went in less than 5 minutes after calling assuming they were on the phone and swamped with business - there wasn't a single customer in the store. Today was the last time I'm calling and getting hung up on. I probably shouldn't have even given them as much of a chance as I did. To The Lunchbox: your unprofessionalism has lost you a local and consistent customer.

Great food, I love the breakfast and the cheesecake.

RUDE!!! RUDE!!! RUDE!!! I will never order form them again!!! They made several mistakes on a pretty large order for a doctors office and when called on it they could have cared less and actually had the nerve to say "what do you want me to do about it" if you want to stay in business, they better change their staff or they will be going out of business with bad reviews!!

Order two cheesecakes from thier other location. When i walked in my order was siting out on the fridge and once i paid for it and walk out side there was a pice of hair on one i took it back the guy said he just made and takes a fork and Smears it in and says its chocolate i say no its not and u just mixed it in he doesnt try to fix it just gives me my money back and tells me i dont gave to come back

Sandwich and best cheesecake in Northern Jersey. Highly recommend for Xmas.
