Starry Night Dance Studio

I would highly recommend Starry Night studio, both for their level and professionalism and for the very friendly atmosphere. I have been taking classes with Achiko for the past 6 months and my level has improved a lot. I first came to learn Salsa on 2 and improve my Bachata, I now feel like learning other dances too. Achiko is an extremely good teacher that combines technicity and artistic approach. He will be able to bring your dancing to a completely different level, while always explaining every move in deep detail. He is very patient but tells it as it is, so expect hard work for great results!!

Achiko is a great artist and an amazing teacher who can take you dancing technique and styling to a completely different level. He is very patient an thorough with every move and step you are going to learn. I would recommend Achico classes to anyone who wants to get serious about dancing and take it to an advanced level.

My wife and I took salsa classes here with Achiko who was referred to us by close relatives. I was skeptical to take dance classes because I was afraid the instructor would be too pushy and make the learning experience miserable. However, from the first day Achiko made learning salsa fun and easy to learn. He gave great descriptions and explanations about the techniques and took time to go over steps again until we got it right. He is also a very down to Earth person that makes you feel comfortable to be around. I highly recommend Achi for anyone looking to learn salsa. My wife and I plan to continue with him with more salsa on 2 next year.

Achiko is a very dedicated and patient teacher. He is able to assess your skills and take you to a whole other level. He has helped me correct so many of my learning mistakes. His knowledge and skill are top notch - the best in N.J. !

We came to the studio for our wedding dance lesson. Based on the concept we provided and with the time constraint, Maria referred us to Achiko. We thought we’ll head straight to the choreography, but Achiko made sure we cover and grasp the fundamentals of Salsa to build up the routine. He’s a perfectionist and teaches us the standard of professional dancing (even though our goal was just to have a wedding dance routine). He knows if we’re trying to cheat on the dance moves (if we skip the step or arm movement) and he would automatically correct us. We still have a few classes left but he’s been very patient with us even though we get frustrated. Definitely worth the energy and time we’ve spent going to our classes.
