worst customer service.
I go to this starbucks since it is close to my home. By far this is the WORST HORRIBLE customer service I have ever experienced in my life.
There is older looking employee MARY was is not only short tempered, foul mouthed , moter mouthed and constantly talking about her personal life with fellow employees at the expense of other customers inconvenience with the, but also yells at the customers. Looks like she need customer service 101.
I went there and ordered Venti Chai Latte. It has generally been my experience with other starbucks and employees have offered me a refill of the lower priced drink such as brewed coffee or tea after I have made purchase of Higher priced drink.
So, I asked her why she is charging me full price since I have just had the Chai Latte. This is first starbucks in my visit to starbuck in past 5-6 years.
Not only she did have patience to hear what I had to say , but she never gave me opportunity to utter a word as she started screaming.
Before I finish a sentence she seemed to have a solid legal defense as if it was some kind of court room battle and refuted in a manner a smart lawyer would raise an objection.
I said this is first starbucks in five-six years, and she snaps, " I have been with starbuck five years unless you are GOLD member you are not ENTITLED for refill!".
I am saying i have purchased higher priced drink doesn't make sense not being able to have refill for lower priced drink, she is saying, "its the POLICY thats why SHE SPECIFICALLY asked you when you made your first purchase whether you want latte or brewed tea." She really stressed on capitalized words.
Her argument makes me wonder that, she anticipated during my first purchase itself that I was going to ask for a refill and thus she has covered herself and made herself in LEGAL FREE in her own mind by SPECIFICALLY asking whether I wanted latte or tea in first place.
Either she is MIND READER or she is RACIST old woman who expressed such and hostility towards customer and made the customer feel guilty for even asking for a refill.
Please keep in mind that she did not offer GOLD membership nor accommodated customer for this one time misunderstanding if that was indeed a policy.
She felt very happy and justified when she finally CHARGED FULL AMOUNT :)
So, I took the manager card and told her that her manager would be receiving a call and she said, " OKAY I DON"T CARE".
REALLY REALLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
