The staff is great, place is clean, men's locker room has been redone nicely with a new sauna and steam room. People actually put their weights away and plates back after using them. Best of all is the class of clientelle, which consists of mostly 40 and above. You don't have to put up with the yo-yos of the millenial generation who have no respect or caring. A good place to get some lunch also as their wraps and sandwiches are pretty good.

Great Gym but a bit expensive if you only need a place to workout in gym.
Not a bad price if you take full advantage of Everything...which is a lot.
Food, beverage bar, massage, pool, many programs.
Staff is GREAT!
Locker rooms adequate size and clean.
Always offering specials for membership.

This summer camp is horrible.
They keep the kids outside all day at the local lake...even during days/weeks of 90+ temperatures. There is not much overhead for the camp to run their business since the kids are not indoors at the facility, but the rates are highest in the area. .
Friday is pizza day which they charge **$8** for each kid to get a slice or 2 of pizza!! Each kid could get a whole 12-16" pizza for that!! You don't have to pay, of course! But the pressure is heavy to buy.
Lastly, the camp has 2 field trips per week where they charge money **above** the weekly cost...which is about $20 - $50 more per week. Your child has the choice to stay at the facility, but most of the kids go on the trips. Pressure, again!!
So regardless of the rate you are paying per week...expect to pay at least $50 more per WEEK.
FYI, my kid went there under the groupon coupon.... I would never bring her back.
Please note, I blame the parents, more than the facility, for allowing themselves to get robbed every year. If you doubt my review, please call yourself.

I've been going to spa 23 for 1 year and have had a great experience. The trainers and staff are awesome, the facility is beautiful and the classes are so much fun! They offer something for everyone.

For the most part the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although I have had a number of problems. For starters, I joined up last year right before Sandy hit. With the flooding in the surrounding areas and road closings, the gym was closed for 9 days. Yet I still got charged for a full month membership even though they weren't even open for a third of that month. When I joined initially I had signed up for the BeYoga and the 24 hour membership but the one yoga instructor was so so mean that after she yelled at me for drinking water during Hot Yoga I decided to dump the BeYoga portion of my membership as it wasn't conductive to my relaxation at all. Lastly, my final gripe is that, although I love that their cardio equipment has personal viewing screens, half of them don't work or go fuzzy when you start running on the treadmill. Furthermore, they only offer a handful of channels to watch, half of those being news channels and I REFUSE to watch the news. I think it's all garbage. Soap operas are less trashy then the news. If Spa23 could change those few things I would sign back up in an instant. They used to be a amazing gym but have really have degraded over the last few years despite the hefty membership fees. I wouldn't mind paying it if they kept up on their equipment and offer large array of tv channels that they used to.
