You have to fire your billing department lady.
I visited this orthopedics for my daughter's fracture on her ankle. Hospital itself and the doctor was great, and one day they sent me bill $1200.
My daughter was already examined and treated from urgent care before I got there, all they did was read x-ray again and give basic examine.
So I called and this crazy old lady was asked me if my daughter got cast. I thought she got air cast from there (which she got from urgent care ealier) so I said yes. And she says $1200 is for treatment of that fracture.
Are you crazy? are you asking $1200 for that piece of plastic that you didn't give us? By the way, urgent care charged me $150 and I thought it is too expensive.
And when the old lady found out there were a mistake she didn't even apologize me. All she said was' your balance now is zero'.....
I pay for the service, and I believe those billing department is part of that service.
You should educate your people to be kind.
If I were the owner I would fire her and tell all the hospital how bad she is.
