Solar Salon Tanning Centre

When it was Solar Salon, I purchased a three-package deal and they said there was no expiration. I used two and knew I had a third left. I contacted what I thought was Solar Salon but is now Portofino and they looked into my account. It turned out I had two accounts listed but no record of any sessions. The person I spoke to said all paid sessions were transferred over, but obviously mine was never recorded even though my name is listed in there twice. Why would it be listed twice and have no record of me tanning there???

So we went around in circles on this. He insisted that because there was no record of my purchasing or tanning there was nothing they could do. I argued that why would they have a record of me twice especially if I am telling you I bought a three-tan deal. It's not my fault Solar Salon didn't record my info. However he essentially kept to the party line and said that there is no record therefore my sessions don't exist and there is nothing they can do.

I have to wait for the manager to come back on Tuesday. At this point, I call her, but punishing me because my records didn't transfer over correctly is ridiculous. I bought three sessions, my name is listed in there twice. All I want is my third session, but at this rate, I think I would rather just go somewhere else.

If this is their customer service, then don't trust Portofino.

I've been to salons all over the Upper East Side, and Solar Salon is definitely one step above the rest. They do not try and sell you lotion every time you walk in the door (in fact, lotion is provided no matter what your tan base is) and they self check in system is easy and fast. The prices are higher than I am used to (as I am not from NYC originally) but the service and cleanliness make it all worthwhile. The staff is pleasant and the hours are accomodating. I definitely reccomend coming here for your next solar experience.

Since I moved to NYC I always go to Solar Salon, is clean, nice atmosphere and their prices are really honest. The beds are comfortable and all new, and they offer a lot of other interesting services.

I've been going to Solar Salon for almost 2 years, andc ould never go anywhere else.The atmosphere is like an upscale spa rather than a usual tanning bed. The beds give great color and are always clean! I also absolutely adore the staff!! Narobi is the sweetest and is super helpful. I especially love that lotion is included in your experience. You must try Solar Salon!!!

This is a great spot for a tan. It doesn't take 3 times to get color. You get color on your first tan. The staff is friendly and the place is really clean. They provide you with free towels, lotion, and after your done a fresh smelling cool towel to wipe down and cool down with after. The more people you bring in the more free tans you can get. So pick up their cards fill them out and start recruiting your friends...it's so worth it.
