SS office made a spelling mistake in the last name on my social security card. I took back my SS card along with the birth certificate so they can correct it. The lady at the Window stated that even though they made a mistake with the name and even if I had a copy of my birth certificate they still want a letter from my Primary doctor stating that I am that person and this is my last name. Ridiculous! They cant be more stupid than that.I understand that every body make mistakes but why a letter from my primary.
