ShopRite

ShopRite is one of the best supermarkets in the area. They have a pretty good selection of organic foods, and the prices are fairly low. They also have a sushi place that makes great take out sushi for some of the lowest prices.

This ShopRite is a refreshing change from many of the urban ShopRite locations we have visited previously. Aisles are wider and generally clear of clutter. They have very short waits at the checkouts and are rarely out of the sale items.

Has become way too crowded as portion sizes for things like lettuce grapes grow smaller, prices go up. Bayonne tax payers subsidize developers everywhere, meaning more people in the same space. In a year or two there probably won't be any parking for shopping here. Takes 15 min to just clear the line during rush hour.

The prices are good. The aisles are a bit cramped. Also beware the mutants that shop there. Sometimes the place gets filled with them. You know...the mutants from Bayonne.

This store is fantastic, it has an outdoor parking lot and an underground parking garage (remodeled c.a. 2000). It is huge and has everything you need, it rivals those club stores, and they have alcohol too. For Staten Islanders, they will reimburse in cash for your toll when you spend $50 or more in groceries and return on you subsequent trips with the receipt and ezpass statement printout. This store is so big and pleasant to shop in, it is worth the extra time and short distance for Staten Islanders to have a better shopping experience. Deli is good and so it the bakery! high end meats and produce. Really nothing negative to report, except a bad experience with a cashier at customer service named Megan, but fortunately another cashier set her straight. Employees are regular and dedicated. A+
