Shleppers Moving & Storage

I have moved or 1/2 dozen times with Shleppers and each time they arrive on time, are efficient, professional and friendly. It takes the stress out of moving when I use them.

Shleppers Moving & Storage is the ONLY moving and storage company we would EVER use. Their motto: "Going Beyond Expectations" says it all. They are: customer-service oriented, efficient, fair, friendly, hard--working, helpful, honest, organized, prompt, reliable and responsive. They deliver the highest quality of work at a very fair price. Everybody in the company - from our Senior Relocation Consultant and customer service department, to the three wonderful men who did all of the manual labor - went that extra mile! They did everything they could to make something that was so overwhelming for me seamless and done to perfection! We certainly will be using them again in the very near future for our big move. We just cannot imagine anyone else we would trust with our home and most valuable possessions.

I am not sure how else to put this except that they are criminals. Your property will get stolen, so I would encourage avoiding using this company at all costs. My toolbox was stolen which we noticed immediately, and reported to them, but they provided no real assistance to locate or replace it. Now I have just realized when going to find my winter coat that they stole an expensive Canada Goose jacket as well. This was the only coat taken out of about 20, as clearly is was recognizable as a valuable item. Do not use his company unless you want your possessions stolen.

moved with Shleppers at the end of July and the movers were very nice and efficient about moving our things HOWEVER their customer service is the exact opposite of nice and efficient.

The movers accidentally damaged a bookshelf during the move (they forgot to remove the shelving from it which crashed down, breaking off several pieces of wood from the bookcase making it unusable), for which they admitted they were responsible and told us to contact customer service and also one small item apparently never made it out of the moving truck at are new apartment.

I called and called customer service and eventually got someone on the phone who told me to submit a claim form, which I did over three weeks ago. Since then, I have not heard anything from them despite repeated calls and voice mails to their customer service department. This experience with the customer service folks is really unfortunate since the movers themselves were very professional and made an honest mistake.

Overall, I unfortunately would not recommend anyone to use this company, as accidents can happen when moving and one should use a company that actually responds to their customers concerns when problems arise. I will certainly look to use a different company the next time I need to move.
