Dry cleaning - fine.

DO NOT GET ANYTHING TAILORED THERE. They charged me $15 to hem a pant leg that they never hemmed. I also gave them a bridemaid dress to add a shoulder strap to. Despite giving it to them over 2 1/2 weeks before the wedding, 2 days before having not received it I find out they have not added the strap, and that they can't because the fabric is not long enough. Now I can do nothing about it because it is so close to the wedding. No call to let me know, nothing. This was the last straw for this place. There are much better dry cleaners in Hoboken. Use them.

Dishonest. I took a winter jacket in because the zipper was stuck. I have taken it to Smart Cleaners for the same issue and they had fixed it with no problem. Shipyard cleaners called to quote me on the fix, told me it would be $40.00 because they are going to have to replace the zipper entirely. I told her no thank you I'll come pick it up and take it back to Smart Cleaners. Turns out, they had fixed it right away but lied and told me it needed a new zipper. Clearly not anticipating me turning down the $40 dollar "replacement". Too many good dry cleaners to deal with a dishonest company in Hoboken.
