Shane's Brooklyn

I used to love Cafe Shane, but lately my experiences has been going downhill. There are a lot of new faces and the service is not like it used to be. I was there yesterday and my bacon came out rubbery and my man asked for a coffee and he got it right before the food came out. Waiting for a server or waiting for an item like coffee for ten or more minutes and when it arrives it;s cold. My order has been put in wrong multiple times and it bothers me because I love the food there. Even my take out orders are wrong and I don't know until I get home. It's just aggravating because after going there for years to have to experience these issues now.

We were a bit hungry after walking around the Brooklyn Botanical garden, so we decided to par take in whatever we could find nearby. I think we mainly sided with Cafe Shane because it showed "Chicken and Waffles" on the top middle of the menu page. Great selling point.

After we ordered, we had the most amazing experience of watching 10 whitney houston music videos. Although slightly hungry, the reminscence of whitney houston really made the time fly by quickly. I'm still very surprised how much she had influenced our times.

In any case, there must have been something in our orders that took a long time because we were waiting for a little bit longer than expected. It being chicken and waffles, we'd expect deep frying of a chicken piece and making of waffles to be no more than 20 minutes. Also considering we were one of 3 tables, we thought they may have ran out of some crucial ingredient.

Regardless, I did find Anna, our waitress to be extremely apologetic and kind to us. There were things forgotten by-and-by, but no harm and no foul. The chicken was pretty tasty with some ketchup and the garlic mashed potatoes were actually really well made. I'm not terribly impressed about everything else except the fact that whitney houston's teeth was so damn white and beautiful in all her music videos. It's safe to say that we possibly went at a weird lull time and I'll be sure to try it one more time before giving my final say.

It was definitely the best restaurant i have ever been to! The people were super nice! The food was amazing the chicken and waffles were the best thing I have ever eaten! I highly recommend this place!

Don't be a sucker and stand in the Tom's line. Shanes is right next door and has a better menu. Sure those Tom's pancakes are great, but for everything else Shanes is as good or better. Also, you get meet everyone in the neighborhood, not just the gentrifiers and yuppies. Wonderful!

Yassssss my favorite place. Anytime my mom visits from Michigan this is definitely top of the list. Mango mimosa pitchers and cinnamon donut waffles are to DIE for! Amazing home fries always playing great music.
