This is simply THEE WORST ! Hardware store in my neighborhood he's so sarcastic and snooty it makes you afraid to ask him anything I rather just talk to the very nice guy with the ponytail he keeps it short and let's you know what's what. The store overall is overpriced period!. I dread when I have to come here being that sometimes I have no other choice but after today i will never be seeing this place again. He's a total jerk
He takes his customers for granted.

I have shopped at Mayday for over 12 years, and have been consistently satisfied with the level and quality of service I have received. I hate to say it, but sometimes, shopping as a women in unfamiliar realms, like hardware stores, makes me feel vulnerable and open to exploitation, but I long ago got over that fear with Jerry and his staff. I walk out educated, and have learned a lot over the years. Yes, you could probably find stuff cheaper and a far greater selection at a big box, but Jerry's my neighbor, he's 2 blocks away, and I truly enjoy his company. And if he doesn't have what you need, he will order it for you. What more could you ask for?

We've been coming here for years, and haven't had anything like the experiences described here. Jerry has always been very helpful in answering our questions or explaining how to do something we haven't tried before. He's not exactly a warm fuzzy guy but we appreciate having him in the neighborhood.

BEWARE!! This owner financially rapes you on the prices of all products and service in this business.
Stay away and visit Flatbush Ave at any of the businesses on the strip. I would love for there to be a Hardware store other than Mayday with the snarky attitude and inflated prices. Anyone with a space for rent on Washington, please let me know.

I guess Im not alone on my feelings for the owner of this place. I was trying to get a lockbox and he tried selling me a mailbox. When I explained what a lock box was, he got snippy and said "thats not what you asked me for". It was.

When I finally found the one lock box he had, it was overpriced and he was annoyed he had to open the glass case to show me. Dont worry dude. you wont have to open anymore cases for me. Done with your store.
