Expensive. I'd call it average, but it's location is extraordinary. It's totally fine for a place to stop for a bite and a drink.

Great ambiance , music and food. Nice spot for a date and a fun time before going to the clubs in meat packing.
The couple next to us ordered drinks and left because they didn't like the music.

I really dig Seraphina for work lunches - when someone else is paying for it, because I don't want to spend my own 20 bucks on a personal (and delicious) pizza. They have a great wine selection and everyone in my 15-person party enjoyed their food.

Wow, this place is a joke. We walked in there today and noticed the menu was appetizing and we thought to ourselves it was going to be pure deliciousness. Oh my god, we were wrong. We sat down we were provided with the menu and wine list. Ordered a glass of Cab and a glass of Pinot noir. We ordered the antipasti that had the beef with some "j juice" (not sure exactly) and then tried to order the salmon pizza and told the waiter (short hispanic guy) that we want it done our way. We wanted what's in it (wasabi, basil, smoked salmon and whatever else it came with) except we wanted half cheese. That simple right? Ew, apparently not. The waiter first said no that they couldn't do that. So we looked up at each other and were like are you serious? He said because the cheese will "burn on the side." So then we asked for the arugula salad and he says the antipasti beef we previously ordered has a arugula in it. Ok, so we said, can you add extra arugula to it. He says no we can't. At this point we were getting impatient. So then we asked for a few more minutes to look over the menu. Then we decided to tell him that we wanted half of the salmon pizza with cheese and that we were ok with the cheese burning a tad. BUT, then we also requested to add chicken to our pizza. The waiter again says "no, we can't add chicken to the pizza." At this point, we just got up and decided to leave. Walked out and found Don Felipe Restaurant down the street and had no problem ordering the pizza the WAY we wanted it there was absolutely no "NO's! It's that simple folks, I'm the customer and if I'm spending money at your restaurant I EXPECT to get what I want. Which means your staff needs to bend their backs to make me happy. if your silly pizza during my visit is going to cost $$$$ you better go above and beyond to deserve my business. Here's a pic of our pizza just down the street at Don Fillipo Restaurant.
