We called for an "Annual Service" since we have a service contract and the water filter also needed to be changed. After waiting all day (tech came at the end of the time window) all he did was change the filter. He said that the service contract does not kick in until after the one-year warranty period is over. I wish someone would have told us that over the phone so I did not waste my entire Saturday for a filter change that I am more than capable of doing myself. Disappointed that we were told at purchase time that we should call at the six-month mark to schedule "service" and all they did was change a filter.

The technician was courteous, professional and did his job quickly. I was pleasantly surprised that he had the part on the truck and could replace our faulty ice maker on the spot. Usually, we have to go through a waiting period to order a part but this time, it was quick and efficient.

The service representative explained the situation very well after assessing our Kenmore refrigerator. Ultimately, this issue was not with the refrigerator, but with the valve in the wall connected to a hose connected to the refrigerator, and we needed to call an outside plumber, but the Sears representative thoroughly explained what the issue was and was very professional.
