This restaurant is absolutely regal in its setting with Italian warmth and atmosphere, fine wines and divine cuisine where you can truly sample a "taste of Italy." Food on the prix fixe menu is fancier than you might expect -- every dish served with care down to the detailed flower etchings of the plates. In everything from the fresh breads, pasta, meats, and refined delicious sauces to the rich (but not overwhelmingly so) desserts this place is the best. The servers are professional and polite and even with every table occupied it is a quiet place where you can enjoy long conversations. The scent of candles and fresh flowers mingle with a hint of basil and lemon zest to provide a relaxing atmosphere. If you are looking for one of the best authentic Italian restaurants to go to for a lovely romantic evening or to enjoy with family and friends this IS the place to go!!

I was lucky to snag tickets to see Jamie Cullum live at the Blue Note so I jumped at the chance. The venue was very intimate, and even though I was at a table off to the left of the stage I had a great view.
The mixed drinks I had were delicious (wish I could try them all) and the food looked amazing (a guy next to me ordered a steak). The show was incredibly intimate and it felt like a privilege just being there...so much talent has graced this stage over the years!
That being said, there's very little room to move round. The tables are all super close together so it tends to get very cramped the busier it gets. How the servers move around without spilling...they are super human service professionals. Aside from the cramped seating situation and the stuffiness inside (it was a little warm) I'd definitely see another show at the Blue Note.
If you can, but tickets to a show ahead of time. Depending on who's playing, the line goes all the way down the block.

One of the most creative italian restaurants in NYC. Came here for a Valentine's dinner. Everything was great. Genuine service. The host and servers were all especially nice. The menu is pre-fix and the servings are generous so go hungry. Had the soft egg ravioli is fantastic. It's rich and filling. Had the duck, which I recommend. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. If your having dinner for two make sure to reserve the corner table in the front of the room. You can sit next to your partner and enjoy have the best view of the restaurant.

City winery has 3 entrances:
1. The main entrance for live music
2. The barrel room (for easy going bar area)
3. Private area
I went to the barrel room and was amazed by their super cheap happy hour (4-7pm everyday) which is $5 off glasses of tap wine and $10 off carafes. What a steal! Their sauv blanc was wonderful and the waiters super nice.
