We had the lunch tasting menu on a Saturday. Food was totally fantastic but they really screwed up the timing of our drinks. My advice is to withhold ordering food until you get your cocktails, should you order any. We wanted to start with cocktails and have sake with the food - that failed to happen.

We ordered cocktails right after we sat down - at that point we hadn't seen the food menu yet, so it seemed natural they'd be out quickly. Nope. They arrived after the amuse. During this time I asked for the sake menu twice, but apparently I was too polite. The sashimi came rather quickly, right after the cocktail did. Not sure why they thought anyone would want to eat their sashimi with a cocktail. And once we got our carafe of sake, and finished it, they failed to ask if we wanted more. We did. Sigh. So if you're looking to cut back on how much you drink at lunch, this is the place for you.

Took my parents here for a special occasion, and while they aren't big foodies, they enjoy trying something different every once in awhile.

We got there early (6ish) and had the restaurant to ourselves for most of the meal. Service was very attentive, though we also were quite low maintenance and didn't require anything unusual.

Food was, in a word, unimpressive. I can't remember how many courses we had, but unlike most tasting menus of a dozen or so items where most are great, several are very good, and a few are just decent, the majority of these were just decent and only two or three were great. At that price point, there are several places I'd rather go, like Nakazawa if I just wanted sushi, or Atera if I wanted a fun tasting course in Tribeca.

Have been told the Ichimura experience is better and might try that some time, but would make no effort to come back here and probably push to eat somewhere else if I had a say.

An excellent lunch menu. Great dishes, everything was good tasting and good looking. Cocktails were tasty too.

This is the least comfortable venue I have ever had the displeasure of attending. I spent the entire concert wishing I were doing something more comfortable like flying cross-country in the back row of an airplane. If you do go, make sure you have the chiropractor booked for the next day in case you're forced to watch an entire show over one shoulder.

This general idea and vibe of this place is great, but the table situation is so crowded and if you need to go to the bathroom- forget it. Once you're in your seat you are trapped.

We saw Bebel Gilberto there in September (we won't even discuss how much of a raving diva she was - yelling at staff, screaming at her band in front of everyone), and we purchased seats 83 and 84 for the evening. At the time, it was the last table and was listed next to a "door" on the floor plan. We assumed it was an exit door and had no idea that we would be seated next to the kitchen door. They kept the door propped open all night, with a bright light shining on us the entire time. The kitchen staff gathered there and talked, loudly, during the sets and that's also where they bused the tables, so dishes were clanking. This was the most unenjoyable live music experience I've ever had - because I couldn't hear anything over the dishes and the staff.

I've since noticed, as I've looked at the floor plan for additional shows, that they've added a table BEHIND that one. I'm, honestly, not even sure how that is physically possible, but it exists, according to the seating chart.

The problem is that they occasionally have decent acts come through here. It stresses me out picking seats here any more, because I NEVER want to have another experience like that again.

The food was actually pretty good and decently priced. The wine was mediocre and overpriced, but necessary for a night here.
