They have big portions, be prepared to eat, a lot! During the summer they have an outdoor patio, which greatly expands seating capacity! I highly recommend eating out there. The indoor seating can be a bit tight depending on where you are sitting and how packed the restaurant is.

Brunch menu is good, but mostly heavy dishes. All the dishes are Italian, so expect lots of sauce and pasta based dishes. I haven't had a bad dish here yet, but I haven't managed to eat an entire plate once, huge portions!

Easily the best Italian restaurant in Washington/Hudson Heights. Very cozy, intimate atmosphere.

The food is consistently incredible. The Tagliata Toscano is my particular favorite; the tender skirt teak is cooked to perfection, with sheets of Parmesan over a bed of arugula. Pasta dishes are also excellent. Wine selection could be better. Get the caprese as a starter - you won't regret it!

One of the few negatives is the fact that it's gotten so popular over the years, that it can become very crowed for dinners...it's almost *too* cozy, and you feel like you're sharing your dinner with the parties nearby... but no more than many other "Manhattan-sized" restaurants clamoring for real estate.

Because it gets crowded, and they don't take reservations, schedule your meal to be early. Or, put your name in and go for a walk...often the wine/liquor store nearby has wine tastings, which is a good way to use the time while you wait for your table. There also s a good Hudson River overlook just down the hill.

By far the best restaurant in the area and the atmosphere is welcoming and lovely. Precisely because it is the best food in the area, it is quite crowded on weekend evenings, but well worth the wait. There are a wide variety of daily specials, but some favorites from the large, regular menu are the house salad, kale caesar salad, and truly, all their salads, outstanding fresh burrata, black linguine with calamari in a spicy fresh tomato sauce, grilled salmon, the poached pear desert, etc. etc. The portions tend to be very generous and the staff is warm, personable and very helpful.

Saggio's is our favorite! The atmosphere is warm & inviting. The food is delicious & consistent (even when delivered). The Rigatoni is my favorite. Their cocktails & wine list are on point The staff is friendly & always make us feel right at home. If you haven't tried Saggio's then you are missing out!!

- Terrible #34800
Went in with my husband and baby who was sleeping on a saturday at 10am. There was NO ONE in the restaurant. As soon as we entered one of the ladies said "can u fold up the stroller?" And then she said "well actually we just dont have the space". I said my babys too young for a high chair. And she just said again "we dont have rhe space". There was NO ONE in the restaurant. We will NEVER come back. The owners should do something about that kind of customer service.
