Has gone down hill in the last couple years. Much of the meat is sealed in vacuum bags & shipped to the shop. Just before Fathers Day weekend, they didn't even have Prime Rib! Didn't even try to substitute something else to make a suggestion, just said 'we don't have it'. I've been trying for years to get beef ribs, but they won't even order them.
At my local Shoprite, not only did the butcher have the Prime Rib I wanted, but beef ribs too. He said to come in anytime. They have them.
Now wondering what the point of a butcher shop is, that doesn't have a popular meat or the ability to order a special item. I won't go back.
