Royal Appliance Repairs

This company provides a fair and honest service. The staff is very knowledgeable.

First, let me assure you that I am a REAL customer. I called Royal for a broken refrigerator. He came promptly the next morning (one star). He was also an okay guy (another star). Aside from that, I did not have a good experience with him technically. First he told me the problem was a fan. But after putting a new one in, that did not work. Then he said the problem was with the power going to the fan, and that he was 100% sure I would have to replace the main control board, which would run me $400 and take 5 days to get the part. I declined, deciding to try and source and install the part myself. I had the part within four hours (not five days!) and installed it perfectly myself (it's easy). He was wrong again though - that was NOT the problem, and the fan still had no power. Long story short, I paid an online service to diagnose the issue through a bunch of back and forths over email, and $28 later they helped me diagnose the issue. It was a loose connection, and cost me $0 and an hour to fix. I have little confidence in Royal and am very glad I decided not to waste $400 and five days on his mis-diagnosis. Sorry guy.

I woke up in the morning and discovered that my refrigerator stopped working and everything in my freezer started defrosting. After frantically calling three places and getting a "we can take your name and number and someone will call you back" I called Royal Appliance Repair. They actually had someone from the company with appliance repair knowledge answer the phone. The operator asked me some details about the problem and about the make of my refrigerator. When I told him that I have a freezer full of food that was going bad he was sympathetic and said that he can get someone there in 30 mins. I was nervous because I had to start getting ready for work.

28 mins later the technician (Michael) was at my house. I don't think I could of gotten 911 to come that quickly. He had tools and parts in hand and started working on my fridge while I was getting ready for work. By the time I finished getting ready the thermostat on my refrigerator was replaced and it was blowing cold air again.

Knowing that my food is safe and I will not have to miss work I only had one worry in mind, how much will this amazing service cost. Michael gave me a bill for the part and his labor that was very reasonable. No additional cost for coming out early in the morning, no additional cost for the emergency service, and no "this customer is in a bind" cost. I rarely leave reviews but figured one good deed deserves another.

I wish I could come up with something more original to say, but everyone has pretty much summed up what I wanted to say. Really great service at great prices. Can't really ask for better.

I went through royal appliance last month when our dishwasher gave out on us. You give them a call and they will be at your place in no more than a few hours. It was fixed in less time than that and at a really great price too. Solid guys who know how to fix stuff and don't overcharge ya.
