First off, I want to say I do not enjoy going to the dentist, however Dr. Buffong has made me change my mind. The first time I went to see him, i was experiencing excrutiating pain in my tooth. I went in, apprehensive and nervous (to say the least). Within minutes, Dr. Buffong and his staff eased my anxiety and assured me they would care for me (and my tooth). Then I heard the dreaded words -- I needed a root canal. The anxiety flooded back immediately. Throughout the procedure, Dr. Buffong answered all of my questions and him and his staff were kind and understanding throughout my panic. He dealt with a crazy patient like myself with patience and ease, while other other dentists may have rushed or shushed me, he took his time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I can finally say I am no longer afraid of the dentist!

RJ Dental is an awesome family friendly office where on time seating is super important to the Dentists and Staff. Professionalism and quality care is what you receive at all times. I'm blessed to work here and even more to help care for our patients.

I took my 2 year old to the Roselle office this past Tuesday and had and issue with the receptionist who had an attitude problem. Here is what I wrote on their Facebook wall:
"I had a terrible experience at your office this morning, My daughter didn't even make it in to see the dentist!
My 2 year old is a new patient and we got lost on the way to your office. We called for directions and I let the receptionist know that we would be there in 10 minutes. I arrived, parked about a block away from your building, and we made our way to the door. As I was walking to the door, I called my husband to let him know we had arrived. At that time it was 11:29 AM. We get to the door and I use the intercom to be let into the building. I let the receptionist know that I am her for my daughter's 11:30 AM appointment. In a rude tone, she replies, "It's after 11:30." Taken aback, I reply, "I was lost getting here." She says, "I'll have to see if she (dentist) will take you." Then the receptionist finally let's us in.
As I walk up the stairs with my toddler, I check my phone for the time and see that it's only 11:35 AM. I'm 5 minutes late.
I get to the receptionist's desk and she asks for my paperwork which I had printed and filled out at home. I let her know that I want to make sure the dentist will see us first. She tells me to come back at 1 PM, still speaking to me in a rude manner. I let her know that we would be leaving, I'm going to find another dentist.
I'm appalled by how incredibly rude your receptionist was. I understand you want patients to, "arrive 5 – 10 minutes prior to your appointment.." according to your patient forms. I completely understand that and think it's reasonable. But, your patient forms also state, "If you arrive 20 minutes late for your appointment, your appointment will be rescheduled." I was 5 minutes late. When I got back to my car, it was 11:41 AM.
I might had considered coming back at 1 PM but I was treated very poorly and will not be returning to your office."
I gave them a call on Wednesday and since it was after office hours, I left a message. It is now Friday and I have not had a response from them.

Fantastic experience! Excellent customer service. The place is clean and organize. I feel like that's all they do, taking care of patients with whatever you want to get done the right way and the first time. JJA
