Riverton Square

Apartments are spacious and bright, park is beautiful. However there is smoking of a weed happening every single day on the stairway and if you live on the upper floors, the smoke comes into your apartment like someone just had a joint next to you. Security claims they know who it is but cannot catch them. Management office and security throw the ball to each other and no one does anything. The worst part is that the management office is so ignorant. I don't want to mention that i was calling for 3 months and asking to mop the floor full of stains.

The best place in Harlem to live, period

Close to Transit (30 min D2D to Wall St on 2/3 train or 4/5 Train). Safe, really. Fantastic on-site Laundry and Cheap too - 150 wash/225 3x loader, 50c to dry for 15 min! Friendly Neighbors. FIOS!!! Get rid of TIME WARNER CABLE's HOSTAGE SITUATION for most of Manhattan's unfortunate residents. Garbage chute on the floor. Half the rent you'd pay south of 59th St. Like 700 sqft 1 Bedroom for UNDER 2K/mo. If you want tres chic grocers, Dry cleaner on the corner and a late nite diner on the next block, try Chelsea. If you are up for a new experience try Harlem, or as I tell my friends, "I live in a Penthouse on Park". Really, I am on the top floor of the building that Park Ave ends at Facing the East River w/Yankee Stadium views. Oh and its the end of December and I am sweating in my apartment sitting with shorts on and it's 22 degrees outside. You do the math, then come over for a beer. We moved back to Riverton last year - decided to move back to be closer to my wife's family and because we were paying to much to rent our apartment in williamsburg. (Brooklyn is wayy too expensive these days) Seriously!!

Bugs, rats, thugs, guns, outright scary.
