Riverside Skate Park

Beautiful for a stroll!

Very nice place hang out with the family play around with the kids it's very nice very nice place tranquility is a very nice place do anything you want to do

Potential to be great, but managed horribly. It's the only skatepark I've ever been to that requires FULL PADS. Requiring a helmet is fine, but forcing everyone to wear knee pads and elbow pads is ridiculous. It's extremely constricting and very uncomfortable. I'm sure those who created the rules don't skateboard, but take it from me and everyone else that has ever stood on a skateboard: wearing knee pads makes skateboarding much more difficult much less enjoyable.

The skatepark is also closed the vast majority of the time and opens for to the public very late in the season and closes early.

All around very poor waste of what could be a fantastic spot for the many people on the UWS that love skateboarding, biking, etc. I'm disappointed to say the least.

Always locked. Irregular hours. No bmx. What a beautiful waste of space. 99% percent of the year this park is empty and not in use because it's kept locked. It has the potential to be the nicest park in the city for bmx and skateboards but the managers choose to allow to it to go to waste. NYC has the worst skate parks system of any city in the east.
