Rite Aid Pharmacy

called in a prescription and had the pleasure of speaking to Stacy!! super nice and helpful :-)

I visited this pharmacy during one of my visits to the Island. Its a very busy store and they seemed understaffed, but the staff (especially the pharmacist) seemed very professional when they did get to me, in helping/explaining things to me.

Out of all the pharmacies I tried (CVS/Walgreens/walmart/ target/etc), RiteAide pharmacies have been the closest I found to a neighborhood pharmacy type.. where the pharmacist were willing to work with you, especially in tough situations (which is hard to come by now a days… when the small mom/pop stores are being driven out of business by the larger chains). I was surprised to find that even at such a busy store…the pharmacist had taken the time to talk to me(though it took a while for her to free up), and seemed very knowledgeable. I know RiteAide is not doing well financially, but I wish the management would provide additional support to their busier stores, so the staff can be available for their customers more easily.

Don't ever try to call this pharmacy with a question. While this store is busy, it is not that busy. They are so frantic and disorganized. I got put on hold 6 times and no one ever comes back. If you do manage to ever speak with anyone the pharmacist acts like you called in the middle of evacuation. He doesn't let you finish your sentence, he gives you an answer (though not a correct answer) before you even finish asking the question. If you do manage to get the question out they put you on hold again and then they forget you are on the phone. My doctor called in a prescription five times and they never managed to get it in the system. Imagine a hen house with all the chickens running around with their heads cut off. UGH.
