Risotto House

Risotto house was less than welcoming upon arrival. The hostess was busy on her phone but sat me at a nice table at the window. I was a lone diner this evening. I explicitly told the hostess for one person and the server or ( not sure who he was) poured my BYOB wine for two. No big deal as probably strange to see an alone woman eating out with a BYOB. I guess??

Three people visited my table to ask when I was ready. They gave me the menu with the specials menu- which was an amazing selection. I was excited.

I asked for some ice and an glass of ice water ( I never got). I usually get ice water at dining experiences costing me 40 plus. Maybe not.
They did bring me warm bread ( standard French bread).

I order the seabass and avocado salad- both of which were excellent. The server I ended up with was good for the basics but everyone seemed to be in a hurry. No offer of desert or coffee or anything. Mind you- it's 9:50 on a Friday night. A rush to pick up the check while I write this. Usually I don't have the time nor energy to care.

Overall, SO unimpressed by the staff and their horrible service, but I love the chef here. They are lucky to have him:)

What a fabulous place to enjoy a relaxing, casual meal with friends and family. Servers were welcoming, attentive, and very helpful with answering questions about items on menu. We ordered from the Dinner Specials menu- food was absolutely delicious, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. Many choices for vegetarians as well as meat/seafood lovers. Tiramisu was exceptional. Loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely return soon. Thanks to all for such an enjoyable dining experience.

Very fresh food prepared flawlessly! We love this restaurant, always consistent and a pleasant experience. I do wish they had a parking lot, but , that is the only thing lacking. I love the soft music in the background and the understated ambiance of the room. The early bird specials can't be beat either!

they don't need my help but the food and service are very good here. loved it.

This is my first review. If you like and know a good risotto this place will not disappoint you. The decor in the place could be better but it has a good crowd. The name says it all and tho there are other dishes in the menu, the risotto is what you want to try, perfectly cooked (I feel like chef Ramsey saying this) and very tasty.The staff was very nice and the kitchen very lenient on adding chicken to my dish (primavera risotto) despite the "no substitutions" post in the menu. Definitely worth a try because if the rest of the food is anything like the risotto (which the bruschetta was great) then it's worth your time and money. Hope this review helps....Yum risotto.
