Terrible! I had fat transfer done to my face ( around mouth and under eyes) and the results are just horrible.
I had this done by Dr. Samuel Rhee in March 2013 with expectations and excitement that it would be an improvement to my face. He told me that the the swelling and bruising would resolve in 3-4 weeks. Well he was so very wrong. Even well into my 4th month you could still see hyper-pigmentation and even worse lumps and unevenness under my eyes. One eye is considerably worse than the other. Now, I am very self conscious of my face with what look like bags under my eyes! . I would be happy to have my old face back. Who wants to go through all that pain, 2 months of downtime and even more of hiding from people to look worse than when you started?! Plus pay money for this?!
Although I thought I was being very thorough when selecting a plastic surgeon... I asked all the right questions, asked for pics of other patients and recommendations. There were red flags all along but I was not paying attention because I was attracted to his much lower prices than other plastic surgeons and his willingness to spend so much time to talk to me and answer all my questions. But in the end, it was a huge mistake because I found out the hard way that he basically lacked the experience in face fat transfer/grafting. I took the chance thinking I could have it corrected if it did not go well. But unfortunately, the damages are not correctable. No doctor is willing to touch this because it was just not done the right way and they are afraid to be help responsible with no guarantee to fix it. His explanations after the fact were even more frightening and just confirmed my hunch that he was not the expert in this field that I wanted to believe that he was.
Beware. While he seems like a nice person and is willing to do what you want to look better he just does not know what he is doing. I wish I never put my trust in him to touch on my face. I am hugely disappointed to say the least and hope that nobody goes through what i did and I still am. I wish I had my pre- fat transfer face back at this point.
