Residence Inn Newark Elizabeth/Liberty International Airport

Have stayed at this location many times and always find the staff to be very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Always a big smile and welcome from the font desk. Rooms are kept well as is the gym, pool and buffet. A home away from home!

Location, location, location! If you don't want to pay a million to stay in NYC, and you're willing to drive a bit, this is the place to stay, about half an hour from the action, this hotel has pool (indoor) gym, free breakfast (if you want IHOP, there is one walking distance) rooms are pretty good: a bedroom with a queen bed, a fully loaded kitchen, full size fridge, microwave, (all the appliances needed in a kitchen) there is a big Mall across the street, an Ikea two minutes away, and a supermarket (stop and shop) 5 minutes away!

Half an hour away for a third of the cost? Heck yeah!

The rooms were standard. Staff very nice. Cheaper options around the area. My do not disturb sign was missing while I was at work. I like my privacy and have never had this problem before. I may be switching hotels soon. Pretty bad deal.

I'm a Marriott Platinum Elite. Had my worst Marriott experience here.

1. The folio included a charge for phone call that I never made. On calling them, they did not agree to remove the incorrect charge.
2. It was raining outside and water was seeping in from the windows.
3. Closet door was misaligned and didn't open or shut properly
4. Shuttle to airport was sent after 4 calls and one hour wait
5. Dishwasher bottom was full of water. It did not get fully drained.

My stay at this hotel has been awesome. The amenities provided make you feel like your still at home. My only issue is that management should pursue improving the quality of their towels and wash cloths because they are quite thin and cheap. Besides that the beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. I would recommend everyone to come and experience it for themselves because the staff here do aim to please! #awesomestay
