Rent A Kilt

He supplied my wedding kilt in 2013. Lovely man to deal with.

Bought a kilt from Liam which I love and get huge compliments, but the zipper came apart that has the pockets while I was in his makeshift store as he was in the process of moving and only had one of each size in the current location, as I was in town just for the day, Liam stated any alterations shop could fix, came back to Illinois and none of the shops could fix, emailed Liam, no response, disappointing.

I was attending a Scottish wedding. Liam is a great guy. He helped me find the right kilt among a vast array of plaids, and put it together with the whole kit.
My outfit included: The Kilt (I chose Hunting MacLeod, "there can be only one")
A high quality Sporran (the leather/fur piece that hangs in front and will be your "pockets") mine was black fur, Liam warned against getting one that was too fancy, as I didn't want to outshine the groom.
Hose (thick, tall socks, sweater knit) Buy these separately, and keep them.
Ghillie Brogues (the shoes, with laces that go up and around the calves) rented separately, but necessary.
Flashes (the bits that hang from the top of the sock)
Prince Charlie Jacket and vest, he's got a bunch, he'll have your size. Same sizes as a suit, e.g. 40R
Bow tie
I used my own white dress shirt. If you want to go over the top, look into a kilt pin and Sgian Dubh (an ornamental knife). The outfit was so legit that everyone kept assuming I was in the wedding party, even though I was not the only non-party guest in a kilt. I was complimented by the groom and his father for getting the whole outfit right. The store isn't open on Sundays, but Liam gave me his cell # and showed up when I called so I could drop it all off on my way out of town. I highly recommend going here if you ever have an excuse to wear a kilt. Do it!
