I took my girlfriend there, now when we are in Greenpoint, she always wants to go there. Food is just like grandma made it. Nowadays places like this are disappearing. Not expensive is a plus as well. Must try!

Love the food, like my grandmother made, particularly the chicken soup. The cucumber salad is my favorite side dish. Never had an entree that was disappointing.

No frills. Very basic utilitarian decor. Nothing fancy and no place to impress a date. Food is served at the counter. You bring it to your table, which is a challenge if you order soup which is filled to the rim. The offerings are a variety of polish dishes from soups and salads to perogis blintzes and meat dishes. There is a very suitable variety of offerings which all prepared homestyle. I assume that if I had a polish grandmother, this is what her cooking would taste like. The portions are large and the cost is low. If you are nearby you won't be disappointed.
